Gender pay gap reporting: final regulations and guidance

In early December 2016 the Government published its long-awaited final form draft regulations on gender pay gap reporting. These were formally approved by Parliament and made on 6 February, without any amendments to the final form draft of the regulations.

On 29 January Acas and the Government Equalities Office jointly published non-statutory Guidance, stated to be in draft pending the Parliamentary approval for the regulations. No substantive changes were expected, but the final version published on 3 April in fact included a number of changes and additions. This version of our briefing is updated to reflect the final Guidance.
