The 2015-16 financial year was another active year for public M&A activity in Australia. This MinterEllison report focuses on public M&A transactions valued at more than $100m, of which there were 31 in 2015-16.
The year was a tale of two contrasting halves, with the majority of deals announced in the first half of the year. The decline in deal flow in the second half of could be attributed to a range of factors, including uncertainty in the lead up to the federal election, slowing growth in China and Brexit.
